BIO
Sharon Rose is a Pennsylvanian cosplayer, published author and artist, plus-size/curvy model, comics lover, and all-around geek girl recognized for her award-winning EVA foam armor crafting and paint detail work. Her work has been showcased in Marvel’s digital series Marvel Becoming: Captain Marvel, on the cover of Cosplay Culture magazine, and in numerous geek culture media including Marvel.com, SciFiNow, and Geeks Are Sexy. An artist and maker to the core, Sharon is a Plaid Crafts / Plaid FX® product ambassador and an administrator for SheProp!, a prop making and costume forum exclusively for women and nonbinary costumers and makers. She is also an administrator for Full Figured Cosplay, a body positive Cosplay and Comics™ page dedicated to celebrating cosplay diversity. She is a vocal advocate for inclusivity, representation, and body positivity in cosplay, including PCOS awareness. Sharon is a member of the Central PA Heroes Coalition, a nonprofit volunteer team of cosplayers that works with hospitals, charity groups, and community organizations. When she’s not in her studio working on costumes or at conventions, Sharon can be found painting, drinking coffee, watching horror or sci-fi films, or snuggling with her cat.
